Recruitment process for USA CEO now underway

The International Cricket Council today launched the recruitment process for a national chief executive officer for cricket in the USA

The International Cricket Council today launched the recruitment process for a national chief executive officer for cricket in the USA.
The CEO's primary objective will be to facilitate the staging of ODI Tri-Series event(s) in 2005 and 2006 and to thus create clear and independent income streams for the USACA. These funds will subsequently be put towards the future development of the game in the United States.
In order to achieve the above, the CEO needs to be able to:
i. secure the support of ICC Full Member nations re participation in One-Day International Tri-Series event(s) in the USA
ii. organise the subsequent staging of above, including appointment of venue(s) and managing third-party contracts
iii. sell sponsorship and other income generation re these events.
The CEO will report to a "USA Cricket Special Project" sub-committee comprising one delegate from the ICC, one delegate from USACA and one delegate from WICB. The employee agreement will be with USACA but initially underwritten by the ICC.
The position will be USA-based and relocation is a possibility. Ideally, the successful candidate will have:
  • Extensive experience in regard to international cricket events
  • Proven relationship with, and understanding of, the ICC Full Member cricket family and its commercial operations in regard to the staging of international cricket
  • Outstanding qualifications and/or experiences across all of event planning & staging, contract negotiations, financial management, and cricket understanding
