Profile
The opening batsman Melissa Bulow started playing cricket with Redbank Plains but now plays for Western Suburbs. Bulow was educated at Leichhardt State School and Bremer State High School. She then attended the University of Queensland before qualifying as an accountant with a dual degree in Commerce and Business Management.
She bided her time at state level before the retirements of Belinda Clark and Lisa Keightley made space for her at the top of the order and she made her international debut in 2006, in the one-off Test against India, striking 20. She now has the chance to make an impact on the one-day scene, after being included in Australia's squad for the Rose Bowl series against New Zealand.
Bulow comes from a sporting family; her brother Aaron played club cricket
with Norths in Ipswich and West Moreton and is a former South Queensland under-19 player; he then turned to rugby league.
